Privacy policy
This is short because we collect very little. There is no booking engine on this site, no account to create and no card form, so most of what a privacy policy normally has to explain does not apply to us.
Who we are

What we collect, and when
Only what you send us, and only when you start the conversation.
- If you message us on WhatsApp: your name as WhatsApp shows it, your phone number, and whatever you write. That is held in the WhatsApp account on our phone.
- If you book: the names in your party, the number of people, your dates, and a phone number to reach you on. We need those to run the trip and to know who is out in the desert.
- If you email: your email address and your message.
- When you visit this site: the pages you look at, roughly where in the world you are, and which advert or search brought you, through Google Analytics and Google Ads. That is not tied to your name.
What we never collect
- Card or bank details. Nothing is paid online. You pay at the hotel when you arrive, so we have no reason to hold them and we do not.
- Your passport or ID number, unless you hand it over at check-in because a hotel is legally required to record it. That stays in the register at the desk.
- Anything about you from anywhere else. We do not buy lists and we do not enrich what you tell us.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets cookies for two things: Google Analytics, to see which pages people read, and Google Ads conversion tracking, so we know which advert produced an enquiry. If you arrive from an advert, a click identifier travels with you and is attached to the WhatsApp message you send, which is how we tell a paid enquiry from an organic one.
You can block all of it in your browser settings and the site works exactly the same. Nothing on this site is behind a cookie wall.
Who else sees your information
- WhatsApp, owned by Meta, carries the message. Their privacy terms apply to it as well as ours.
- Google, for the analytics and advertising above.
- Our own crew, to the extent needed to run your trip: the driver knows the pickup point and the number of people.
- An OTA, if you booked through one. GetYourGuide, Booking.com and the rest pass us your booking and hold their own copy under their own terms.
- Nobody else. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to other operators.
How long we keep it
WhatsApp conversations stay on the phone until the phone is replaced. Booking details are kept for the season and the tax year that follows, because we have to be able to answer a question about an invoice. Analytics data is held by Google on their retention schedule.
Asking us to delete it
Message or email us and ask. We will delete the conversation and the booking record, other than anything we are required to keep for tax. You do not need to give a reason and it will not affect a booking you already have.
Changes
If this policy changes we will change this page. There is no version history worth keeping on a document this short, so the honest thing to say is: read it again if it matters to you.
A question about your own booking
This page cannot answer one. A person can, the same day, in writing.
